Introduction:
Clark Education Center was established in 2024 to address the urgent need for education in our community. During our Saturday Bible classes, it became apparent that many children were not attending school. In response, we initiated an after-school program at our library; however, it proved to be ineffective. With the support of our kind donor, People_Bridge, we successfully launched a kindergarten program.
Achievements and Setbacks:
In 2025, we had an enrollment of 30 students. Unfortunately, in February of that year, our center was demolished, which severely impacted our operations. Most of our students were relocated to other educational institutions. However, within a few weeks, we were fortunate to secure a new location, allowing us to recommence educational activities. Currently, we serve 19 students divided into two classes: Play Group and Pre-Primary 1. We are eager to recruit new students for the Play Group as others advance to higher levels.
Staffing and Resources:
Our dedicated team consists of three teachers, one cleaner, and a cook. We prioritize the well-being of our learners by providing porridge during break time and nutritious meals at lunchtime. Despite our efforts, we are currently facing financial constraints that limit our capacity to expand and improve.
Challenges Ahead:
The primary reason many children are not attending school is the financial inability of their parents to pay school fees. We are operating in a rented space at a church, which incurs significant costs. To enhance the educational experience for both children and staff, we must invest in resources and facilities.
